Decision Made on Petition Against Dr. Sulaiman Khan’s Posting

A petition was filed against Dr. Sulaiman Khan’s posting as DG Intelligence Bureau, however, it was dismissed by the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

According to reports, the Islamabad High Court dismissed the petition as inaudible. Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked that courts should do their job, and not interfere in the work of executives.

Former IB officer M. Jamil Qureshi had challenged the appointment of DG Dr. Sulaiman Khan in the CJIBD High Court saying that it nullifies the Rules of Business 1973. In his petition, Jamil Qureshi requested the court that Dr. Sulaiman should be relieved of the post as DG.

In May 2018, the Federal Government appointed Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Khan as the head of the Civil Intelligence Agency Intelligence Bureau (IB).

According to reports, the Federal Government has issued a notification of Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman Khan’s speech as Director-General, who has been holding his new post from Tuesday, May 8.

It is to be noted that Dr. Muhammad Sulaiman was earlier serving as Joint Director-General in IB, he was promoted from Grade 21 to 22 and appointed Director General IB.
