Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has convened a meeting of the National Coordinating Committee (NCC) on Sunday, May 31 amid coronavirus pandemic.

The meeting will answer the following questions to counter the coronavirus pandemic. Should nationwide lock-downs be further softened or tightened again? Which sector should be given more concessions in business? How to implement the standard operating procedures (SOPs)?

At the NCC meeting on May 31, all the provinces will present their recommendations to the federal government, after which PM Imran Khan will make the final decision. Earlier, a meeting of the National Coordinating Committee announced further easing of the lockdown from May 9.

The Prime Minister said that the people have to take responsibility, if they want to get out of this difficult stage.

Earlier, on the occasion of Eid, the Supreme Court had also ordered to open all the businesses and shopping malls for the whole week, after which it was announced that all the businesses and shopping malls would be open till 5 pm.

Coronavirus toll crosses 22,000 in Punjab

It may be recalled that over 1,300 people have died from coronavirus in Pakistan while the number of patients has crossed 64,000.
