Delhi’s Jamiah Masjid Still Not Open

New Delhi: The Jamiah Masjid of Delhi remains closed while an important announcement comes regarding its opening.

According to reports, the Shahi Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari of Delhi Jamiah Masjid has announced that prayer will not be observed there from 11th June to 30th June.

The Shahi Imam of the capital’s Jamiah Masjid has announced via Twitter that due to the corona virus situation, the mosque will remain closed from 11th June to 30th June.

The Shahi Imam has observed in his tweet that the decision has been taken after consultation with the public, intellectuals and religious clerics. He said that praying in the Jamiah Masjid is not allowed till 30th June and during this time no prayer shall be conducted there. He said that those responsible for the mosques all over the country should also consider this.

It may be noted here that spokesperson for the Jamiah Masjid, Amanullah, passed away due to corona infection on Wednesday. After the relaxation in lockdown, religious sites all over the country had been opened from 8th June.
