COLOMBO: Opening batsman of Sri Lankan cricket team Dinesh Chandimal has joined Sri Lanka Army as a commissioned officer.
According to the Army Cricket Committee of Sri Lanka, Dinesh Chandimal has agreed to join Sri Lanka Army as a commissioned officer to play cricket matches for the Army team. Chandimal is enlisted to the Army Volunteer Force as a commissioned officer of the Sri Lanka Army Ordinance Corps.
Chandimal has played 53 test, 146 ODI and 54 T20I matches for Sri Lanka. He is considered to be as one of the best player of Sri Lanka.
