Dollar rate goes up in Pakistan

Tuesday, Aug 18: In the Interbank market, the value of the dollar rose by 23 paise, while in the open market, the buying price of the dollar rose by 10 paise. According to the SBP, the value of the dollar rose by 23 paise from Rs 167.93 to Rs 168.16. According to the Exchange Companies Association, the dollar rose by 10 paise in the open market, raising its buying price from Rs 168.40 to Rs 168.50.

It is clear that in April 2019, the dollar took a big leap and came to Rs 141.50. May saw a historic rise in its price to Rs 151. In June, the dollar broke all records and reached an all-time high of Rs 164. In July 2019, the dollar stopped flying and the dollar After the reduction, it became Rs 160 in the interbank market and Rs 161 in the open market.

At the end of October 2019, the rupee appreciated further and the dollar depreciated to Rs 155.70. At the end of November 2019, the buying price of the dollar was 155.25 and the selling price was 155.65. The last six months have seen a steady decline in the value of the dollar, with the rupee depreciating by Rs 9.
