Door-to-Door Coronavirus Vaccination Begins in Lahore

The Lahore District Administration, DC Mudassar Riaz, has started door-to-door coronavirus vaccination.

Reports state that the service has been launched regularly starting today. The teams will go door-to-door the way they did for the polio campaign and administer vaccinations against corona.

About 65,000 citizens will be targeted to be vaccinated on a daily basis, stated Lahore DC Mudassar Riaz. The goal is to vaccinate people over the age of 18 and the 40% vaccination target will be achieved, he went on.

He further appealed to the citizens to cooperate fully with the vaccination teams, stating, “Corona vaccination must be done,” adding that, getting vaccinated is the only way to prevent the virus.

It is to be noted that Pakistan, like most other nations, has been hit hard by the COVID-19, and according to the latest statistics given by the NCOC, in the last 24 hours, 2819 cases have been positive, out of the 44,579 tests conducted. As of now, there have been a total of 1,008,446 cases, out of which 927,599 have recovered, but 23,048 have died. Many lay in hospitals in critical conditions. As such, it is the citizen’s responsibility to get himself vaccinated and prevent spreading.
