England made history by defeating Denmark in a nerve-wracking match in the Euro Cup semi-finals.

According to the reports, England has reached the final of a major international football tournament after a long gap of 55 years.

England defeated Denmark 1-2 in the second semi-final of Euro Cup 2020 Sunday night, advancing to the final following a tense contest. On July 12, England will meet Italy in the final at Wembley Stadium.

The match was settled in extra time, with England’s captain Hurricane scoring the game-winning goal on a penalty kick.

When Denmark’s Denizgaard scored in the 30th minute to give the side the lead, the first half of the second Euro Cup semi-final was pretty exciting.

In the 39th minute, though, Denmark’s Simon Kayar halted his own team’s lead by tossing the ball into his own goal.

In the second half of the contest, neither team scored, but in the 14th minute of extra time, captain Hurricane scored on a penalty kick rebound to give England a two-goal lead over one that lasted until the conclusion.

England’s wait for a place in the Euro Cup was finally over after 55 years. After 1966, England reached the final of a major football tournament for the first time.

This is the first time the English squad has reached the final of a major football competition since 1966, having previously been third in the Euro Cup twice.
