Ertugrul Ghazi is the role model for our dramas, Laila Zubairi

Turkish series Ertugrul Ghazi based on Islamic conquests has been airing on PTV since April this year on the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

There are some artists who were angry over the airing of the drama on PTV and still different opinions of the actors are emerging on it. While the drama is being liked by the Pakistani people immensely.

Many showbiz personalities are in favor of airing ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ on PTV, including senior and well known actress Laila Zubairi, calling ‘Ertugrul Ghazi’ a role model for Pakistani dramas. She added that the Pakistani drama industry should make plays like Ertugrul.

In a recent interview, Pakistani actress Laila Zubairi was asked about the drama serial Ertugrul Ghazi, to which she said that she was and is very much against Indian dramas because Indian dramas were influencing Pakistani culture. It has stopped broadcasting in Pakistan, which is very good she also said that they have been against the airing of foreign dramas in Pakistan from the very beginning.

Laila Zubairi said that if foreign dramas are aired on our channels, it replaces our dramas  it has a negative effect on our artists and our dramas. There is no platform left for us, our artists do not get work and are left unemployed.

She further added that as far as Ertugrul is concerned, she thinks that Ertugrul is a drama based on Islamic history and it is good that we should know about Islamic history.

Laila Zubairi said that this drama is a lesson for us and it is a role model for our dramas. We should also make such dramas, we do not have such a big budget but we can try.

He said that Ertugrul drama is becoming very popular which means if you make such things then people will see it, people would like it. We should also make such dramas instead of useless love and we should work on such a topic apart from affairs.
