Exams postponed! Says Shafqat Mahmood

Lahore, 23rd November: Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood have said that due to holidays in educational institutions, examinations have been postponed.

Baaghi TV: In a media briefing after the NCOC meeting, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood said that all schools, colleges, universities and tuition centres will be closed. All exams in December will be postponed.

Shafqat Mehmood further said that students will continue their online educational activities from home for a month. It is recommended to conduct board exams in May which were scheduled to be held in March or April. The April school year in government schools is recommended to start in August.

Next year, the summer vacation will be reduced. One-third of the students will be allowed to stay in hostels.

The second wave of coronavirus has intensified in Pakistan. The situation of coronavirus in Punjab province is becoming more alarming than other provinces. Due to COVID-19, Punjab has the highest number of patients on ventilators. In Sindh 57, Islamabad 43 and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 22 patients are on ventilators.
