Exclusive: PDM focused on starting impeachment movement #Baaghi

According to Baaghi TV reports, the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leadership has decided to start an impeachment motion against the President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi.

According to informed sources, the decision comes after the success of the no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan Imran Khan, which seems certain, given the political climate of the Federal Capital.

According to reports, the impeachment motion will be filed as there is enough material for impeachment against Dr. Alvi. According to Britannica, impeachment in common law is a proceeding instituted by a legislative body to address serious misconduct by a public official. Given Pakistan’s political background, this means that the President may be removed before the expiry of his term, usually under the guise of violating the Constitution of Pakistan.

The process of impeachment can be initiated by either of the two houses of Parliament. In addition, the house that initiates the process levels the charges against the President.

According to informed sources, instructions to start preparations for an impeachment movement have been issued to the PDM legal committee. The decision was taken by PDM leadership two days ago.
