Failure to arrest prominent Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader, Shahbaz Sharif, results in transfer of police officers.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, the police officers were transferred due to the failure to arrest the leader of the opposition, Shehbaz Sharif, in the National Assembly.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had summoned Shehbaz Sharif two days prior but he failed to appear, following which NAB raided his Model Town residence and attempted to arrest him. Hiowever, two hours later it was revealed that Shehbaz Sharif was not at home although he was reportedly quarantined at home to prevent COVID-19.

Later, the police also raided the house of another PML-N leader, but could not succeed in arresting the opposition leader.
Teams were reportedly present in the Lahore High Court to arrest Shehbaz Sharif yesterday but, the court stopped them from arresting Sharif.

After the failure to arrest Shehbaz Sharif, the Buzdar government took action and exchanged police officers. DIG Operations Lahore Rai Babar Saeed and DIG Investigation Lahore Dr Inam Waheed Khan have been transferred, Ashfaq Khan has been re-appointed as DIG Operations Lahore.
