Baaghi TV: The man who was selling his daughters is from Dagai village in Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Another person who was involved in the scheme managed to escape. Kalukhan police station SHO Munsif Khan says he has registered an FIR against both the accused and obtained custody of the children’s father from the court.

According to the details, the SHO said that information was received about the said person belonging to Dagai that he had settled the deal of his two young daughters for three and a half lakhs. In which the broker Mumtaz was given Rs 50,000 in advance while the rest of the money was to be given to the father after the transfer of the daughters to Punjab.

The SHO says the two girls are around 11 and 12 years old, whose father arranged the marriage for money. However, according to the law, since the girls are not of marriageable age,

Therefore, we have handed over the girls to their mother at the request of the village elders. According to SHO Munsif Khan, the accused has admitted in his statement that he did so out of poverty. The SHO says the man’s eldest son earns and is himself healthy and employable.

The accused also used to perform imamate duties in a village mosque but has been unemployed for two years. Police are trying to nab another fugitive accused and there are reports that the man has already trafficked a number of innocent girls to Punjab.
