Federal government replaced the FBR chairman four months later

The federal government has once again replaced the chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Asim Ahmed was appointed Chairman FBR on April 9, 2021, but has now been replaced.

According to Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry, Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq has been appointed as the new Chairman FBR.

In a press conference, Fawad Chaudhry said that the federal cabinet has approved the appointment of Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq as the new chairman of FBR.

It may be recalled that the PTI government has removed 5 FBR chairman since 2018.
