Female station manager appointed for the first time in Pakistan Railway

LAHORE, August 6 (online):  Assistant Transport Officer Lahore Syeda Marzia Al-Zahra has been handed over additional charge of station manager Lahore railway station.

She has become the first female station manager of Pakistan Railways.

According to the report, the railway authorities have appointed ATO Lahore Syeda Marzia Al-Zahra as the station manager of Lahore railway station and withdrawn  the additional charge of station manager Lahore from station master Lahore Cantt Younis Bhatti.

Railway sources said that Syeda Marzia Al-Zahra has become the first female station manager of Pakistan Railways.

On the other hand, Railway Sampars Union has called for protest against the appointment of a CSP officer to the post of station manager.

Union Central Chairman Muhammad Irfan, while expressing reservations over the appointment, said that if the notification was not canceled, he would protest.
