First Muslim Pakistani-American federal judge in US history

Lahore, 11th June: A Muslim Pakistani-American has been appointed as a federal judge for the first time in US history.

According to reports, Pakistani-born Zahid Quraisshi will be the first Muslim federal judge in the United States. The Senate voted in favor of Zahid Quraishi on Thursday.

Zahid Quraishi will serve as an Article 3 federal judge in the District of New Jersey. He has earned the honor of being the first Muslim American federal judge in American history.

US President Joe Biden nominated Pakistani-American Zahid Quraishi for the post of Federal Judge. Prior to the nomination, Zahid Quraishi had been working as a Magistrate Judge who is part of the federal bench.

Zahid Quraishi is one of ten American jurists from different communities in the United States who have been nominated by President Biden.

Quraishi has long experience working in US law and justice. He has extensive experience fighting complex criminal cases at state and federal levels and investigating in corporations.

Quraishi has also worked on cases involving enforcement of government authority and enforcement of rules and regulations throughout his advocacy career.
