ISLAMABAD: According to reports, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi telephoned his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan and expressed his determination that Pakistan would continue its cooperation to protect the integrity of Saudi Arabia.
During the telephone conversation between the two leaders, issues of mutual interest, including the epidemic in Corona, were discussed. The Foreign Minister, on behalf of himself and Prime Minister Imran Khan, inquired about the health of King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi told his Saudi counterpart that Pakistan’s smart lockdown strategy has led to a reduction in corona prevalence and mortality.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi strongly condemned the missile attacks by Houthi militias on Saudi defense installations and assured them that Pakistan would continue to extend all possible cooperation to safeguard the territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia.
The two foreign ministers also discussed the limited payment for Hajj this year. Prince Faisal bin Farhan said that the decision to perform Hajj on a limited scale was taken in view of the global epidemic situation.
During the talks, discussions were also held regarding the forthcoming session of the UN General Assembly, while it was also agreed to continue mutual consultations on important regional and bilateral issues, including the Corona epidemic situation.
