Aug 22, 2021: Pakistan’s Foreign Office on Saturday strongly condemned the extrajudicial killing of three more Kashmiri youths in the Pulwama area of India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

A Foreign Office spokesman said in a statement that Indian occupying forces had killed six Kashmiris in the past three days in state-sponsored terrorism against Kashmiris. He said that it was a matter of great concern that the IOJK was facing severe military siege, extrajudicial killings, torture in custody, enforced disappearances and incarceration.

He said that the violence against innocent Kashmiris betrayed India’s frustration over its failure to suppress the legitimate struggle of Kashmiris for their right to self-determination.

The foreign office spokesperson said that serious and systematic human rights violations by the Indian occupying forces in IIOJK need to be investigated by the UN Commission of Inquiry as suggested by the OHCHR in its 2018 and 2019 reports.

“We once again call on the international community to account for the grave and systematic human rights violations of the Kashmiri people and to work for a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.”
