Former Pakistan Navy Chief passes away

Former Pakistan Navy Chief Admiral Muhammad Sharif has died in Islamabad. Funeral attended by serving Chief of the Pakistan Navy.

According to Pakistan Navy spokesman, Admiral Muhammad Sharif was laid to rest with military honors in Islamabad. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi also attended the funeral. A large number of senior retired and present service officers of the Armed Forces including former Joint Chiefs and former Chiefs of Naval Staff attended the funeral.

According to the Pakistan Navy spokesman, Admiral Muhammad Sharif has the honor of being the first four star admiral of the Pakistan Navy. Admiral Muhammad Sharif also held the post of Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.

According to the Pakistan Navy spokesman, the Naval Chief said on the occasion that the entire nation, especially the Pakistan Navy, pays homage to the services of Admiral Muhammad Sharif.

According to a Pakistan Navy spokesman, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chiefs of Armed Forces also laid wreaths at the grave of Admiral Muhammad Sharif.
