Former President Asif Zardari to be indicted
Islamabad, 23rd Seprtember: Pakistan’s former President Asif Ali Zardari’s pleas for acquittal have been rejected.
Accountability court judge Azam Khan delivered the reserved judgment and rejected the former president’s plea to remove the additional reference to Park Lane, money laundering and Thatta water supply.
In Park Lane, Mega Money Laundering, Harish & Company References, the court has pronounced a major verdict and ordered to indict Asif Zardari in all three corruption references.

The court ruled that Asif Zardari could not be acquitted in the fake accounts references, the trial would continue. The court summoned all the accused including Asif Zardari in the references on September 28.
According to sources, all hopes of Zardari have been dashed after this decision. It has also been reported that Zardari’s temper has deteriorated after the decision.
