Gandhiji had no law degree, his qualification was high school diploma
IIOJK Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha claimed that Mahatma Gandhi did not have a law degree and that the only qualification that the father of the nation had was a high school diploma. He made the claims while delivering the keynote speech at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Memorial Lecture at Gwalior.
Sinha came up with the false claim to prove his point that “getting a degree is not education”
Can anyone say Gandhiji wasn’t educated, he asked the audience and added that Gandhiji did not have a university degree. Many of us think Gandhiji had a law degree, but it is wrong, he said and added that the only qualification of Gandhiji was a high school diploma.
Sinha made another bizarre statement saying he Gandhiji practiced law without obtaining a law degree. “He qualified to practice law. He did not have a law degree. He had no degree,” he said.
He claimed that Gandhiji achieved everything, including freedom for the country, through the power of truth.
