Government allows opposition to hold Jalsa in Bagh-e-Jinnah

Karachi: The government of Sindh allows the opposition parties to hold a jalsa on October 18, 2020 at Bagh-e-Jinnah in Karachi.

According to reports, the opposition parties were allowed to hold a meeting by the administration, while the Deputy Commissioner of District East issued a meeting permit.

The district administration said that the meeting was allowed under 18-point restrictions, however strict action will be taken against people violation the restrictions.

According to the permit, there will be a complete ban on any kind of speech against the state of Pakistan, display of weapons, blockade of the main road around the meeting or traffic jam. The meeting will be the responsibility of the management, in case of any loss of life or property. The organizers of the meeting will have to fully implement the Loudspeaker Act, as per the government notification.

According to the district administration, strict action will be taken against the violators of the permit. The meeting will have to end within the stipulated time as per the permission given to the program.

Vehicles will be parked at a distance of one thousand meters in the meeting hall. Coronavirus SOPS will have to be implemented in the meeting place.
