Government decides to bring back citizens from India

The High Commission of Pakistan has reportedly requested facilitation in bringing back citizens from India.
According to a report by Baaghi TV, the High Commission of Pakistan has requested that facilities be provided to Pakistani nationals to return to Pakistan from India on the 5th of May. Pakistani nationals who are stranded in India during the Corona Lockdown will be sent to Pakistan through Attari-Wagah crossing by road from different parts of the country.
It should be noted that the Pakistan-India border is closed due to coronavirus and nation-wide lockdown. Forty-six Pakistanis stranded in India over the past two weeks have returned home in two phases.
According to sources, five of the returnees tested positive for COVID-19, after which the Wagah Border and India’s Attari Border Customs and Immigration staff became concerned and were also tested.
According to sources, after the diagnosis of Coronavirus in Pakistanis returning from India, the policy regarding the return of more Pakistanis is being tightened.
