Amir Liaqat issues apology for crass remarks

Baaghi TV: Pakistani religious scholar, host and politician Amir Liaquat apologizes for inappropriate remarks about Sri Devi and Irfan Khan. The host joked about the demise of the late Bollywood actress Sri Devi and the late actor Irfan Khan.
Aamir Liaquat jokingly told Adnan Siddiqui that whoever he works with dies. He worked with Sri Devi, and she died. He worked with Irfan Khan who also passed away recently. Liaqauat added that while the Bollywood stars Siddiqui worked with are deceased, actors he refused to work with are alive thanks to Siddiqui’s refusal, namely Bipasha Basu and Rani Mukherjee.
Adnan Siddiqui issues public apology for Liaqat’s crass joke
Following the inappropriate remarks made by Liaqat, the Merey Pass Tum Ho actor took to the social networking website, Instagram to clarify and issue a public apology to the families of the deceased actors. The Mehndi star said that the anchor made a highly insensitive joke. He said, “Not only were they both close to me but also as a human it was wrong on so many levels. I cannot even call it ‘hitting below the belt’.”
After this video of the program went viral on social media, Aamir Liaquat was severely criticized by the social media users due to this controversial statements. In addition, Adnan Siddiqui also released an statement on his Instagram to apologize to the families and loved ones of the deceased actors, Sri Devi and Irfan Khan, for being part of Aamir Liaquat’s show. However, it is being reported that Liaquat has released a video message on the social networking site Twitter regarding the criticism leveled against him in which he has apologized to the public for his inappropriate joke.
Aamir Liaqat said in a video message that there were some things that happened in yesterday’s show which were preceded by linguistic precedence, when one can’t control the words. This is what happens in a live show. I didn’t think it would be such a big deal that I would have to consider it immediately, but later I realized that I shouldn’t have said such things considering the humanity of this really wrong thing. I apologize for that.
Amir Liaqat said that the artists of the neighboring country are respected by us. In a further clip I mentioned their love and affection but, they did not show that to people, because only such wounds are publicly displayed on which flies can sit. By this, Liaquat meant to highlight that only the negative aspects are made viral.

He said, “I am very sorry and one thing you will remember is that the one who apologizes is great. If one realizes it, the other should also understand it and give him space until he admits his mistake.”
“This is my country. These are my people. If the people of my homeland have been harmed, I apologize. I hope you will accept the apology of Amir Liaquat and forgive me,” he said. I will also talk about this.
