The federal government has halted issuance of production orders for MNA’s Asif Ali Zardari and Khawaja Saad Rafique.
According to reports of Baaghitv, former president of Pakistan and Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Khawaja Saad Rafique production orders has been halted. They both were due to attend session of National Assembly Standing Committee on Water Resources, to be chaired by Yousaf Talpur of PPP.
Yousaf Talpur had signed production orders of both lawmakers on July 10 and 11 but the National Assembly Secretariat sent the matter to law ministry without issuing production orders for both lawmakers. Sources claimed that speaker office contacted concerned officials of National Assembly Secretariat and refrained them from issuing production orders of both lawmakers.
Yousaf Talpur protested with Assembly Secretariat on the matter and said, “Chairman standing committee is authorised to issue production orders as per the rules.”
Prior to this, the production orders for Zardari were issued previously to attend industries and production committee meetings on July 8 and 9.
