Government is Responsible to Check Smuggling and Use of Drugs: Dr Arif Alvi

Islamabad (26 June, 2019): President Dr Arif Alvi claims government is responsible for check and balance on smuggling and use of illicit drugs.
According to Baaghi TV’s sources, on the occasion of International day Against Drug Abuse and Illegal Trafficking, the President of Pakistan has stated that it is the governments responsibility to keep a check on the smuggling and illegal use of drugs.
This year’s theme for the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illegal Trafficking is: “Health for justice, justice for health”.
Dr Arif alvi has stressed on the role that a loving family, vigilant school, conscientious society and even religious institutions can play in helping to put an end to this social evil.
Moreover, the President has continued to say that an effective solution to the problem requires the government to come up wit a comprehensive infrastructure which should be followed by all institutions dealing with health and social welfare aspects.
According to Baaghi TV’s sources, António Guterres, who is United Nations’ Secretary-General, in a message on this International Day has issued a message discussing that the themes central ideas of health and justice underline the importance of a holistic approach to health including human rights, criminal justice and social service institutions.
