FAISALABAD, August 29 (Online Int’l): Special Adviser to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar has said that the government is strengthening the SME sector through youngsters to build the national economy on a sound basis.

He said for this purpose the limit of Kamyab Jawan Scheme loans has been increased from Rs 1 million to Rs 25 million through all the Chambers of Commerce and Industry nationwide. The responsibility of loan distribution under this scheme was given to only 3 banks, whereas now 18 more banks are included in it, he added. The Special Adviser said the markup rate on loans under this scheme will only be 3 percent, so that these youngsters rather than searching for jobs can start their own business and also provide jobs to more unemployed youngsters.

He said this about the youngsters while addressing a press conference in which the President of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rana Muhammad Sikandar Azam Khan also participated. Usman Dar while acknowledging the importance of Faisalabad in the national economy said that he himself will visit the Faisalabad Chambers of Commerce and Industry within 15 days, so that the local youngsters can be aware of the scheme’s utility.
