Governor Sindh Reviews Performance of Federal Departments on Citizen Portal

KARACHI, Jan 22 (APP): Governor Sindh Imran Ismail has directed the Federal government bodies in the province to take prompt and pragmatic decisions on the public complaints received through Pakistan Citizen Portal (PCP).

Presiding over a meeting to review the performance of federal government institutions about PCP, the governor stressed upon the attendees to ensure submission of a comprehensive report regarding redressal of public complaints and service delivery, within the stipulated time, for onward transmission to Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The Governor of Sindh asked the heads of departments to appoint a focal person immediately to work in coordination with the Governor House, in order to ensure early disposal of the complaints and submission of quarterly report to PM. He emphasized upon the federal government institutions to provide merit and transparency based services to the citizens and there should be a practical and effective mechanism in this regard.

“The federal government institutions should have to strengthen the service delivery system and remove the loophole in redressal of the public complaints” he added.

Imran Ismail asked the officers to contact him directly in case of any hurdle in resolution of public complaints. The meeting was attended by heads of all federal government institutions in the province. It was informed to the meeting that 3,123,148 people have registered themselves with PCP and so far 3,001,737 complaints have been lodged.

It was further informed that 2,861,551 complaints have been attended and disposed of whereas 37 percent of the complainants have expressed their complete satisfaction through feedback.
