Govt makes an important decision regarding cattle markets

In view of the threat of spread of Coronavirus, it has been decided not to set up cattle markets in major cities of Punjab.

According to sources, the Punjab government has banned the setting up of a cattle market in Lahore.

According to sources, markets are proposed to be set up in sparsely populated areas outside the city, while recommendations are being worked out on how citizens will buy sacrificial animals.

Sources said that SOPs will be formulated in a few days for sale and purchase of animals.

It may be recalled that the city of Punjab province Lahore is most affected by Corona due to which smart lockdown has been carried out in most areas there.

The total number of deaths from corona in the country so far has reached 3695 while the number of patients has reached 185034 after new cases came to light.

So far 1495 people have died in Punjab from Corona and 1103 in Sindh while 843 people have died in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In addition, 104 people have died in Balochistan, 106 in Islamabad, 22 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 22 in Azad Kashmir.
