Guatemala has signed an asylum deal with US following the threats of President trump to lessen the flow of immigrants to United States on Friday.

According to reports of Baaghitv, Guatemala has signed a deal with United States days after Trump threatened the Central American country with tariffs. The deal will limit the number of immigrants to United States as the migrants from El Salvador and Honduras will be required to seek asylum in Guatemala which has been declared a safe third country by the United States. The White House has confirmed the signing of the deal with Guatemala and termed the deal will put human smugglers out of business.

President trump hailed the deal and said the deal will “provide safety to legitimate asylum seekers and stop asylum fraud” in the region.
