Heavy Rainfall Anticipated for Karachi by the MET Department

Karachi (29th July, 2019): The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in parts of Karachi, reportedly expected to continue till Tuesday.

According to the Met Office, seasonal low lies over north Balochistan. It has been reported that Monsoon currents coming from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are likely to escalate over the southern parts of Pakistan during the next 24 hours.

Moreoer, the Met office anticipate widespread rain, wind and/or thunderstorms in areas of Karachi, Mirpurkhas, Thatta, Hyderabad, SH.Benazirabad, Sukkur, and Larkana divisions in Sindh, as well as parts of Makran, Kalat, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Faislabad, Rawalpindi, Malakand, Hazara divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Additionally they have forecast rain in areas of Sahiwal, Zhob divisions and Islamabad during next 24 hours.
