Wednesday, July 1st: Heavy rains continue to wreak havoc in China, floodwaters wash away hundreds of buildings, landslides wreak havoc in many areas.

Rivers are flooded after rains, flood gates have been opened, rescue workers are rescuing people trapped in the water, but several people are still missing.

The floods have destroyed standing crops on millions of acres and landslides have knocked down many buildings. Rescuers have evacuated the victims to safer places where large quantities of food items have been delivered. Roads and bridges were also washed away in some places, making rescue operations difficult.

In the recent past, more than 10 million people have been affected by the floods and their homes have been washed away.
