Lahore, 3rd June: Malala Yousafzai, the world’s youngest Nobel Prize Laureate has once again irked the Twitteratis, who have been expressing anger and displeasure over her recent remarks given to the British Vogue magazine.

People on social media have taken a dislike to Malala Yousafzai’s recent interview given to the world-famous Vogue magazine Tuesday night.

23-year-old Malala Yousafzai’s views on marriage came as a surprise to social media users who criticized her comments on marriage.

To a question asked about her views on marriage, whether arranged or love, she said, “I still don’t understand why people have to get married. If you want to live with someone in your life, why do you need to sign a marriage certificate? Why can’t you just be a partner?”

Malala said that her mother always tells her about how beautiful a marriage relationship is and her father receives emails from people who tell him about their property and money and want to marry her.

“I thought at university that I would never get married, nor would I have children, just do my job,” she said. “I will always be with my family and be happy. I didn’t realize you weren’t always the same person. As you grow older, you change,” she added.

However, her comments did not go well with the netizens. They gave her a lesson about how Islam has called Nikah between two partners the most sacred relation on Earth.

Some users questioned her on why she remained silent on the Palestine issue when she could have been vocal for the Palestinian Muslims.

Earlier in the day, Baaghi TV reported that the Pakistani actress, VJ and host Mathira reacted strongly to Malala Yousafzai’s views on marriage. She wrote on her Instagram account that “I liked the picture of Malala on the cover of Vogue magazine.”

She further wrote that “we should try to persuade our new generation to get married and also tell them that getting married is Sunnah. It is not just signing papers, you are not buying any plot, rather, it is the right way to start your new and happy life.”

People on Twitter praised Mathira for the first time against Malala.

Someone wrote on Twitter:

For all we know, Malala Yousafzai’s views on marriage show the beyond-society, beyond religious bounds, which is most common in the west and against Islam or even any other religion of the world.
