Here’s why #BoycottKareenaKhan is trending top on Twitter in India

Lahore, 13th June: Hashtag #BoycottKareenaKhan has been trending top on Indian’s Twitter since yesterday as the netizens are furious with her for asking a huge sum for playing the role of Sita.
According to reports, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan was offered to play the lead role in the movie ‘Sita: The Incarnation’ for which she demanded a whopping amount of Rs 12 crore.
According to Indian media, the trend of ‘boycott Kareena Khan’ started after news of Kareena Kapoor being offered the lead role of the mega-budget mythological film ‘Sita’ by filmmaker Alok Desai.
According to the report, Indians became furious when Kareena Kapoor asked for a massive amount to play the role of Sita in a movie. Hence, without confirming the news, the netizens created an uproar.
Social media users were irked with the actress’s demand of 12 crores, as previously Khan would remain in the bracket of 6-8 crores for doing a film. Now they are unable to wrap their heads around why she would charge a huge fee for this one.
Twitteratis said since Kareena is now a Khan, that they would like to see a Hindu actress in the role of a Hindu goddess and demanded from the film team that another actress should be cast.

Twitter users wrote that she is the mother of ‘Taimur’, so she cannot play the role of Hindu goddess ‘Sita’.
I don't understand how Taimur's mom is suitable for playing pinnacle of womanhood, incorruptible, representing Hinduism, the one and the only Sita Mata. #BoycottKareenaKhan #BoycottBollywood

Most of the people criticized Kareena Kapoor on the basis of religion and claimed that she has become a Muslim and she does not even respect the Hindu religion and Hindu goddesses, so she cannot be given the role of ‘Sita’.
For me, however, the starting point is Sanatana Dharma. Without Sanatana Dharma, Bharatavarsa for me is just another piece of land, and Hindu society just another assembly of human beings. So my commitment is to Sanatana Dharma, Hindu society, and Bharatavarsa in that order.(3/3)

A nationalist Indian would never accept an actress who has no faith in Hinduism for the role of Mother Sita.
Bollywood film mafia spreads poison towards Hinduism, we should boycott all such artists who hurt the religious sentiments of the people.#BoycottKareenaKhan pic.twitter.com/Ol6Wu3nSdH

It is to be noted that a few days ago, news came that Kareena Kapoor has demanded Rs 12 crore for the role of ‘Sita’ in filmmaker Alok Desai’s film ‘Sita: The Incarnation’.
However, it was not clear whether the film team had finalized Kareena Kapoor for the role of ‘Sita’.
According to reports, since the film will take a long time to shoot, and will also require a good number of months for its preparation, Kareena Kapoor had asked for such a high price.
Kareena would also have to spend time away from her newborn and elder son Taimur and thus, wanted it to be worth it. However, no official confirmation from Kareena’s account has been made in this regard.
Kareena Kapoor got married to Muslim actor Saif Ali Khan on October 16, 2012. She gave birth to a son Taimur Ali Khan on December 20, 2016, while her second son was born on February 21 this year, whose name has not been revealed yet.
