Islamabad, 12th June 2020: Coronavirus pandemic is spreading rapidly in Pakistan affecting many people. People in every other house in the country are falling victim to the coronavirus.

According to the reports from NCOC, the total number of corona patients in Pakistan has reached 125,933 while the total number of deaths has reached 2,463.

According to Baaghi TV, it has been reported that the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, the Capital Territory has issued a notification to quarantine specific premises.

The notification has been issued keeping in view the increasing number of patients in Islamabad.

According to reports, there is a shortage of medical facilities in the hospitals of the Capital Territory, due to which the doctors and para-medic staff are unable to attend to the coming COVID patients.

Regarding such dire conditions, the DC ICT has ordered to declare the following premises as QUARANTINE for 14 days due to the presence of Positive COVID-19 cases as pointed out by the National Institute of Health Islamabad.

The list consists of all the names, numbers, and addresses of the people who are the positive patients of COVID-19 and are now confined to their homes.

The Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations), Islamabad is hereby requested to ensure that no in/out movement of the person is carried out & to enforce strict discipline for the next 14 days in these premises to prevent the spread of the virus.

This seems a bit harsh attitude by the police authorities towards the people who are already suffering from a deadly pandemic.

People are raising their voice against the government’s decision to ease the lockdown when it was necessary and now the police authorities have taken the ruthless step of restricting the infected patients in their homes.

However, the timely decision of a curfew could have saved from such a situation.
