It is not clear for how long the hotels will remain closed, but they will not be allowed to open until the situation is brought under control.

It is reported that the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) has issued orders for a smart lockdown in the district. Five major hotels and restaurants have been sealed to contain the spread of the pandemic.

The restaurants and hotels to remain sealed until the further notice are:

  • Moon Restaurant Naran
  • Pak Punjab Tikka House Naran
  • Dewaan-e-Khaas Restaurant Naran
  • Cecil Hotel Naran
  • Mianmore Hotel Naran

However, according to recent reports, these hotels have reopened their businesses despite the warning of a lockdown. The KDA authorized officer has lodged a complaint against these hotels and restaurants. Action against them is yet to be taken.

It is feared that if these hotels/restaurants remain unchecked then the virus may transmit to others especially the tourists which may wreak havoc, once tourists will return to their native cities.

It has been proposed to impose a smart lockdown in these places immediately.
