How are Drones Helping to Bring About Rain in Dubai?

Fighting hot weather is not easy, especially in countries like the United Arab Emirates, where temperatures often hover between 45 and 50 degrees Celsius.

That is why scientists in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), particularly in Dubai, are using artificial rain to cope with the high temperatures.

Drones are now being used in the region to fly in the clouds and generate electricity to stimulate rain. These electric shocks cause clouds to gather and rain to fall.

The technique is called cloud seeding and is used to increase the low annual rainfall. According to reports, it seems that this method is working well in Dubai.

The cloud seeding initiative is part of a $15 million project by the United Arab Emirates aimed at increasing rainfall in the country.

This technology has been developed by experts from the University of Reading in the UK.

Professor Martin Amboom, who worked on the project, said there were enough clouds in the UAE to cover the rainy season.

“When the clouds come together and their numbers are high, it starts raining,” he said.

The UAE is also looking for ways to keep rain from falling to the ground instead of evaporating.

To this end, 130 dams will be built in the UAE and the storage capacity will be increased to 120 million cubic meters.

According to UAE officials, research is underway to build more dams and conserve water, with the aim of diverting rainwater directly from the cloud to the reservoir.

“We don’t want to waste a single drop of water,” the officials said.
