Lahore, 5th May: With the increasing number of coornavirus cases in India, the Indian Premier League (IPL) got suspended for an indefinite period of time.
Baaghi TV reported on Tuesday that after two players from the League tested positive for coornavirus, BCCI suspended the IPL for an indefinute period.
It is said that two players from the Kolkatta Knight Riders (KKR) tested positive after a breach of bio-secure bubble.
But what was the actual reason that the IPL bio-bubble was breached?
According to reports, Restrata is a professional company that provided coronavirus-safe technology and emergency response management solutions in 2020. This company is also responsible to oversee the bio-secure bubble of the IPL tournament.
According to reports from NDTV, however, this time the BCCI decided to get local hospital vendors and testing labs to manage their needs for the event.
The T20 League was scheduled to be held across six cities in India, but the major concern was the air travel for all the players.
It is learned from sources that two players and one team coach had contracted COVID-19 while travelling through airport terminals. While, the teams had demanded the tarmac assess fro the state governments but were denied, hence, exposing the players.
It has also come into notice that the tracking device worn by players was sometimes faulty. The device was obtained from a local Indian company that was below the standard.
As per reports from NDTV, there were also concerns about testing and quarantine protocols of people outside the bio-secure bubble that included ground staff, hotel staff, ground catering, net bowlers, DJs and drivers.
And multiple cities meant changing the staff many times.
Another breach in the bubble is suspected to be food delivery from outside that was allowed until last week.
It is to be mentioned that BCCI had ordered each franchise to create its own bio-secure bubble for players, members and staff.
