Provincial Minister Mir Ziaullah Lango’s decision to Install fence on Pak-Afghan border

QUETTA: An important meeting has been held under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister Mir Ziaullah Lango on installation of fence on Pak-Afghan border including discussion against mischief from Afghanistan.

This important meeting also discussed the compensation to the victims of the divided villages, discussions with the elders and implementation of the decisions taken in the previous meetings, establishment of special economic zone in the area and progress on Chaman Master Plan.

The meeting also discussed the provision of solar tube wells to the people of the divided area. It is also learned that the participants of the meeting gave detailed briefings regarding their respective departments.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Home Arshad Majeed, Brigadier Wajid of Southern Command Office, Commissioner Quetta Division Asfandyar Kakar, DIG Quetta Azhar Ikram, Deputy Commissioner Qila Abdullah Tariq Mengal and other officials of security and intelligence agencies and administration.

The Interior Minister said that the completion of the fencing project would significantly increase the legal cross-border movement and trade activities.

Provincial Minister Mir Ziaullah Langu further said that the provincial government was taking serious steps to resolve the issues related to settlement in the border area.
