Hum Style Awards: Actresses Criticized for Wearing Western Attire

Celebrities who attended the recent Hum Style Awards in Lahore received criticism for choice of clothing.

Baaghi TV: While fans themselves have expressed strong disapproval of the actresses’ choices of clothing for the event, some other celebrities also took to social media to express their negative opinions.

Actor Bilal Qureshi strongly criticized the outfits on his Instagram story, saying that all the women are all very talented and beautiful but they didn’t have to wear revealing, western style clothing to make them look attractive.

Former actress Noor Bukhari shared pictures of some leading actresses with their faces censored, writing brief message, ‘Is this the Islamic Republic of Pakistan?”

Actor Faizan Sheikh stated that even with simpler clothes they could have looked stylish and classy.

Actress Iffat Umar also joined in with the critics, calling the actresses’ style a fashion death.

Young actress Nazesh Jahangir also expressed regrets about the style sense of Pakistani actresses in her Instagram post.
