IG directs supervisory officers to ensure implementation of directives of NAP
Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan directed all supervisory officers to strictly ensure implementation of the directives and rules issued under the National Action Plan under their personal supervision.
He stressed upon taking legal action against the violators without any discrimination. IG Punjab said that data of all the tenants including the property owners who rent out the property must be registered in local police station. Rao Sardar Ali Khan made it clear that indiscriminate actions must be carried out against perpetrators of violation of Loudspeaker Act. He said that search, sweep, combing and intelligence based operations should be intensified in all districts of province and it should be further improved by inspecting the security measures of sensitive installations and worship places.
Spokesperson of Punjab Police shared details of operations across Punjab for violating the National Action Plan. Punjab Police is in action against violators of Tenancy Registration and Loudspeaker Act across province.
Totally, 1415 cases were registered again violation of Tenancy Registration Act and loudspeaker Act and 1886 accused were rounded up. He said that 889 cases and 1265 persons were arrested for violating the Tenancy Ordinance while 526 cases and 621 persons were arrested for violating the Loudspeaker Act. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that 385 cases of violation of Tenancy Act and 701 persons were arrested in Lahore whereas 137 cases of violation of Loudspeaker Act and 147 persons were arrested. Similarly in Sheikhupura 33 cases of violation of Tenancy Act and 60 persons were arrested whereas 16 cases against violation of Loudspeaker Act and 17 persons were arrested. In Gujranwala, 58 cases of violation of Tenancy Act and 96 persons were arrested whereas 74 cases of violation against Loudspeaker Act and 83 persons were arrested. In Rawalpindi, 27 cases of violation of Tenancy Act and 32 persons were arrested whereas 09 cases against violation of Loudspeaker Act were registered and 35 persons were arrested. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that 45 cases against violation of Tenancy Act were registered in Sargodha and 36 persons were arrested whereas 14 cases against violation of Loudspeaker Act and 18 persons were arrested. In Faisalabad 185 cases against violation of Tenancy Act and 131 persons were arrested whereas 116 cases against violation of Loudspeaker Act and 98 persons were arrested. In Multan 76 cases of violation of Tenancy Act and 104 persons were arrested whereas 33 cases of violation of Loudspeaker Act were registered and 60 persons were arrested.
In Sahiwal 25 cases of violation of Tenancy Act and 39 persons were arrested and in Sahiwal whereas 38 cases of violation of Loudspeaker Act were registered and 52 persons were arrested. In DG Khan 27 cases of violation of Tenancy Act and 30 persons were arrested whereas 25 cases of violation of Loudspeaker Act and 22 persons were arrested. In Bahawalpur 28 cases against violation of Tenancy Act and 36 persons were arrested whereas 64 cases of violation of Loudspeaker Act and 89 persons were arrested. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that all possible steps are being taken to make the implementation of National Action Plan more effective across the province.
