IHC issues contempt of court notice to Imran Khan

The Islamabad High Court has issued a contempt of court notice to former prime minister Imran Khan.

In the Islamabad High Court, a hearing was held on the contempt petition filed by Islamabad Assistant Commissioner Abdullah against Imran Khan for not complying with the court order.

The hearing was conducted by Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Amir Farooq.

Raja Rizwan Abbasi, counsel for the Assistant Commissioner, said in the court that Imran Khan should have played his role to maintain the law and order situation during the appearance, the Islamabad High Court suspended Imran Khan’s non-bailable warrant.

He  said Imran Khan should appear in court in a peaceful manner.
