IHC orders to lift ban on PUBG game forthwith
ISLAMABAD, July 24 (Online): Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered to lift ban from online game PUBG.
Justice Amir Farooq of IHC while announcing the reserved judgment ordered PTA to lift ban on online game PUBG forthwith Friday.
Justice Amir Farooq of IHC heard the petition filed by the company controlling the game PUBG in Pakistan. The company had filed petition against imposition of ban on the game.
The court had ordered PTA to hear PUBG company .
PTA’s counsel told the court that PUBG company would be heard to ascertain their stance.
Counsel for PUBG company told the court PTA had neither issued any notice to them nor any notification regarding suspension of game was received by them.
Justice Amir Farooq had remarked upon it that suicide incidents are the basic issue behind the suspension of game. You have to tell how this game is causing suicide incidents.
Counsel for PTA had told the court according to Lahore Police letter this game was giving rise to depression and this way was causing suicides.
Upon it Justice Amir Farooq had remarked “ we have to see if the legal formalities have been completed or otherwise.
The court had reserved the judgment after hearing the arguments from both sides which was announced on Friday.
