Imran Khan and Mufti Taqi Usmani make to the Muslim 500

Justice Mufti Taqi Usmani and Imran Khan are included in the list of 500 most influential Muslims.
According to details, the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre in Amman, Jordan has issued its publication “The Muslim 500”. After studying individuals from different walks of life, all over the world, a list and profile of 500 most influential Muslims is drawn up.
The editors have classified their research into 13 fields. These are scholarly services, political services, administration of religious affairs, preachers and spiritual guides, philanthropy, charity and development, social issues, business, science and technology, arts and culture, Quran Majeed reciters, media, popular personalities, players, and extremists. According to the South Asian wire the organisation has also selected the most influential muslims for the year 2020, in which Imran Khan is the year’s most influential personality amongst the men.
Amongst the women the most influential personality is Michigan member in the USA’s House of Representatives, Rashida Tlaib. According to Al-Qamar Online, the 500 has been divided into two categories, with a top category of 50 that is ranked and a general category of 450.
According to Al-Qamar online, the top 50 includes eminent personality of the Muslim world, renowned faqih and author of hundreds of books, Justice Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani, at first rank. At second rank is Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. At third rank is UAE Crown Prince Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed al-Nahyan. At fourth rank is King Salman of KSA, at sixth is Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, at eleventh is famous preacher and scholar Sheikh Salman al-Ouda, and on twelfth is Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
In this new list Sheikh Azhar is fourteenth, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan is sixteenth, Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman is twenty-fourth, Jamiat Ulema-i-Hind General Secretary Maulana Arshad Madani is twenty-eighth, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi is thirtieth, Maulana Tariq Jameel is thirty-sixth, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is fortieth, and Pakistan’s Tableeghi Jamaat Ameer Maulan Nazarur Rahman is fiftieth.
There are around 24 Indians in the Muslim 500, amongst whom Maulana Mahmood Madani is the only one included in the top 50. According to South Asian Wire, other than this, in the scholarly category, Nadwat-ul-Ulama Lucknow Chancellor and All India Muslim Personal Law Board President, Maulana Muhammad Rabey Hasani Nadwi, Dar-ul-Aloom Deoband Vice-Chancellor and Rector Abul Qasim Nomani, Maulana Wahiduddin Khan, Dr Zakir Naik, and Dr Bahauddeen Muhammad Jamaluddeen Nadwi, Founder and Vice-Chancellor Dar-ul-Huda Islamic University Kerala, are included.
According to the Wire, the administration of religious affairs category includes Founder and Chancellor Jamiah Markazu Saqafathi Sunniyah, Kerala, Sheikh Abu Bakr Ahmad, Sayyid Ibrahim Khaleel al-Bukhari, Maulana Saad Kandhalvi, President of Sunni Dawate Islami Maulana Shakir Ali Noorie, Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi, and Maulana Zaheer-ul-Hasan. The preachers and spiritual guides category includes Hazrat Allama Muhammad Qamaruzzaman Azmi, President of the Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind Maulana Syed Arshad Madani, and Dr Zakir Naik.
Other than this leader of the Bohri Jamaat Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, Sheikh Dr Thaika Shuaib, Tamil Nadu. The philanthropy, charity and development category includes Azim Premji and Maulana Badruddin Ajmal Qasmi. Political category includes Mirwaiz Umer Farooq. The social category includes Sr Saniyasnain Khan, Dr Mubeena Ramzan, who runs the Jamia Islamia Mahdul Muslimat, based in Sopore and in Srinagar. The art and culture category includes Shabana Azmi, Amir Khan, and AR Rahman.
