Lahore, 5th April: Former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani submitted his reply to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) regarding his disqualification case.

According to reports, in the disqualification case, PPP senator Yousaf Raza Gillani and his son Ali Haider Gillani submitted their replies in the ECP.

On Monday, the election commission heard a petition by a party member from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) seeking disqualification of Yousaf Raza Gillani for the Senate seat.

ECP’s Punjab member headed a three-member bench that issued notices to MNAs Faheem Khan and Jameel Ahmed who were seen in a video submitted to the ECP.

The Commission also issued copies of Yousaf Raza Gillani and his son Ali Haider Gillani’s replies to the PTI.

ECP adjourned the hearing of the case until April 27.

It is to be noted that PTI’s Farrukh Habib, Kanwal Shauzab and Maleeka Bukhari filed a petition against Yousaf Raza Gillani to disqualify him for the important seat in the Senate after Gillani’s son Ali Haider’s video got leaked telling the MNAs to waste their votes.
