Independence Day: Commencement of celebrations across the country

According to the report of Baaghi TV, Independence Day is being celebrated with enthusiasm all over Pakistan.

On the occasion of Independence Day celebrations, prestigious ceremonies of change guards were held at Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi and Mazar-e-Iqbal in Lahore. The day started with a salute of 31 cannons in the federal capital Islamabad while 21 cannons were saluted in all the four provinces. After the Fajr prayers, special prayers were offered in the mosques for the stability, development and prosperity of the country.

The flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad with President Arif Ali as the chief guest. Federal ministers, civil and military leaders also attended the ceremony.

A grand ceremony of change guards was held at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. Honorary guards saluted the arrival of the special guest.

The national anthem was played. A well-armed contingent of Naval Cadets offered General Salute to the Father of the Nation. The special guest offered Fateha at the shrine and laid flowers.

On this occasion, the military band played a mesmerizing tune. Commandant Pakistan Naval Academy Commodore Mushtaq Ahmed recorded his impressions in the guest book.

A change of guard ceremony was also held at Mazar-e-Iqbal located in the premises of the Royal Mosque in Lahore. Corps Commander Lahore Lieutenant General Majid Ehsan visited Mazar-e-Iqbal.

A well-armed contingent of Pakistan Army took over the duties of changing the guards of Mazar-e-Iqbal. Corps Commander Majid Ehsan wrote comments in the guest book.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar also visited Mazar-e-Iqbal, laid flowers and offered Fateha. Chief Minister Usman Bazdar also recorded comments in the guest book.
