Indian actress attempts suicide due to social media harassment

Tamil actress Vijaya Lakshmi was admitted to a hospital in Chennai after she allegedly attempted to commit suicide.

On Sunday, she took to Facebook to share a video where she claimed to have consumed pills that lead to low blood pressure resulting in death. She also accused followers of Seeman and Hari Nadar of harassment and the primary reason that drove her to take the extreme step.

The actress alleged that she was suffering from a severe mental disorder due to harassment by the two influential leaders, which is why she is now going to end her life.

At the same time, the actress in the video appealed to the government, administration and the people to take action against the political leaders who harassed her in such a way that her suicide becomes an example.

The actor has been admitted to Malar Hospital and is currently undergoing treatment. Originally from Karnataka, Vijaya Lakshmi has acted in a few Tamil films.
