Mar 3, 2022: According to a report by Geo News, Islamabad police register case of sedition against Imaan Zainab Mazari, daughter of human rights minister Shireen Mazari, after she took part in Baloch students’ protest outside the National Press Club on March 1.
According to sources, hundreds of Baloch students staged a sit-in outside the press club. Iman Mazari and National Assembly member Mohsin Dawar also joined the sit-in.
Sources said that Islamabad police used batons on the protesters to disperse them. Islamabad police told sources that a case of sedition was registered against Mazari, Dawar and hundreds of Baloch students for mutiny, rioting and chanting anti-state slogans.
Sources said that a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against the accused at Kohsar Police Station, Islamabad.
