Jan 6, 2022: Security forces killed two terrorists in Tank, Dera Ismail Khan and village Kot Kili during an intelligence-based operation, the ISPR said on Wednesday.

The army’s media wing said that security forces conducted an operation in South Waziristan on a tip-off about the presence of terrorists. During the exchange of fire, two terrorists were killed, three were arrested and one surrendered to the security forces.

The ISPR added that security forces recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition, including improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and rockets, from the terrorists’ hideouts.

However, during a fierce firefight, constable Faridullah, 31, (resident of Karak) and constable Shoaib Hassan, (29, resident of Dera Ismail Khan) bravely confronted the terrorists and were martyred.
