Lahore, 4th July: Politicians and journalists condemned the FIA notice sent to anchor Nadeem Malik over claims of Arshad malik case.

Baaghi TV reported a while ago that Nadeem Malik, a well-known anchor and president of Samaa TV, has been summoned by the FIA’s anti-terrorism wing for an inquiry into Judge Arshad Malik’s case regarding his program aired on April 28.

According to the notice, he has enough information about the sensitive details of the case, which requires him to appear on July 6 and present the evidence to help the agency investigate the case.

As per details, Nadeem Malik had said in his TV talk show aired on April 28 that he had been told by two high-ranking officials about the video of Judge Arshad Malik convicting former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

He said in his program that Judge Arshad Malik then went and announced the decision and Nawaz Sharif was disqualified.

Several media personalities and politicians reacted strongly to the news.

PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal condemned it and said that Malik is one of the most professional journalists of Pakistan.

PML-N Information Secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb reacted to the news and wtpte on her Twitter accounts that this is highly condemnable and is yet more proof that this fascist regime won’t rest till the little remaining space for freedom of speech is eliminated.

Journalist Ansar Abbasi praised Nadeem Malik and wrote that he is an honourable journalist who has become the latest victim of the FIA’s misadventures against the media.

Journalist Syed Talat Hussain said that FIA’s notice to Nadeem Malik, a reputable journalist, for personal appearance before the agency over his remarks on the notorious Arshad Malik case, is the latest example of unfolding fascism. He claimed that the media was facing a ‘total assault.’
