#Kandahar Becomes Top Trend on Twitter in Pakistan
Recently, the Taliban expanded their control in the region of Kandahar, Afghanistan, and as such, it has become a Twitter trend recently.
Twitter users have been sharing their thoughts and bits of information that they possess regarding the region. Recently, the Spin Buldak area in Kandahar was captured by the Taliban, but according to Afghan officials, the overall situation was peaceful and under control, and the Taliban were seen raising white flags, according to reports.

However, according to Twitter, Kandahar’s circumstances may not be as peaceful as we are led to believe.

According to an Afghan journalist, Fawad Aman, a number of Taliban members were killed and more were injured.
193 #Taliban terrorists were killed and 74 were wounded as a result of #ANDSF operations in Paktika, Ghazni, Kunar, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Zabul, Herat, Badghis, Helmand, Nimruz, Balkh, Samangan, Jowzjan, Takhar and Kunduz provinces during the last 24 hours. & 13 IEDs were defused.

Afghanistan has recently been witnessing increasing instability. The Taliban have claimed to take over 85% of the region, however, on a more positive note, US President Joe Biden has finally announced to withdraw its troops from the region.
